The original three-story building with an attic and
one underground level, with a rectangular floor plan,
was covered with a gable roof.
The architectural expression was altered by replacing
the original roof with an extension featuring a hipped
roof.
The aim of the design was to preserve the proportions of
the original building mass, resulting in a titanium-zinc
cladding on the third floor and attic, and a plastered
façade on the first and second floors. The number of
apartments increased by converting the basement areas
into residential spaces. The capacity of the maisonettes
was also expanded by adding living galleries.
A valuable aspect is the preservation of the stone
cladding on the plinth around the perimeter of the
building. Spacious terraces, balconies, and loggias were
added. The window openings were enlarged with the
intention of maximizing views of the surrounding beauty
of the High Tatras.
